PAF Fighter Jet Crash During Training Flight in Sargodha

A PAF fighter jet crash was reported on Tuesday when a Mirage 5 ROSE III aircraft went down during a training mission in Sargodha. The jet belonged to the 32nd Tactical Attack Wing’s No. 27 “Zarrars” Squadron.

According to initial reports, the aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff. Fortunately, the pilot ejected safely and escaped unharmed. The cause of the accident has not yet been confirmed by authorities.

The Mirage 5 ROSE III (Retrofit of Strike Element) is part of the Pakistan Air Force’s upgraded Mirage fleet. These jets are equipped with modern avionics and advanced strike systems, extending the operational life of the older French-designed aircraft. Despite their age, the Mirage series continues to play an important role in reconnaissance and strike missions.

This PAF fighter jet crash once again raises questions about the challenges of maintaining older fleets while ensuring flight safety.
