The SBP foreign exchange reserves recorded a weekly increase of $34 million, pushing the State Bank of Pakistan’s holdings to $14.34 billion as of September 5, 2025, according to official data.
Total liquid foreign reserves, which combine central bank and commercial bank holdings, stood at $19.68 billion. Of this, commercial banks held $5.34 billion.
The central bank confirmed in its report that during the week ending September 5, SBP reserves rose from $14.30 billion to $14.34 billion. This modest rise reflects a slight improvement compared to the previous week’s position.
With this increase, the SBP foreign exchange reserves continue to play a critical role in supporting Pakistan’s financial stability and strengthening market confidence.
