Pakistan’s tech community is gearing up for the National Agentic AI Hackathon, a multi-city competition designed to spotlight innovation in artificial intelligence. Hosted by Innovista in partnership with the Pakistan Freelancers Association (PAFLA) and Systems Limited, the event aims to nurture AI-driven solutions with real-world impact. With thousands expected to participate, a Rs. 3 million prize pool, and a strong focus on multi-agent AI systems, this hackathon could mark a defining moment for Pakistan’s AI ecosystem.
What Makes This Hackathon Unique?
Unlike traditional coding competitions, the National Agentic AI Hackathon centers on Agentic AI—where multiple AI agents collaborate, reason, and act together to solve complex challenges. From agriculture and fintech to healthcare and climate resilience, participants will be tasked with creating solutions that are not only innovative but also practical and deployable within Pakistan’s unique context.
Competition Tracks
The hackathon will be split into two major tracks:
- Track 1: Agentic Coding Challenge – Teams will design AI systems with at least two collaborating agents, integrate Google APIs, and present a working prototype along with documentation.
- Track 2: Vibe Coding Challenge with Firebase Studio – Focused on low-code solutions, this track emphasizes usability, speed, and local language support, making it accessible even for beginner coders.
Timeline and Locations
The final registration deadline for both tracks is 20th September 2025. Regional rounds will take place in six major cities: Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Bahawalpur, Peshawar, and Gilgit Baltistan. Finalists will compete in Islamabad at the national grand finale.
Eligibility and Participation
Open to Pakistani citizens and permanent residents aged 18–35, the hackathon encourages inclusivity with a target of 30% female participation. Teams of 2–5 members can apply, with backgrounds ranging from students and developers to entrepreneurs and professionals across various industries.
Prizes and Opportunities
- Track 1: Rs. 3 million in prizes
- Track 2: Rs. 1 million in prizes
Beyond cash rewards, winning teams will gain mentorship, networking opportunities, exposure to investors, and possible incubation and seed funding pathways.
Why This Hackathon Matters
As AI continues to evolve globally, Pakistan is taking bold steps to ensure its youth are equipped to compete on the world stage. The hackathon not only nurtures talent but also addresses pressing national needs such as agricultural innovation, financial inclusion, healthcare solutions, and climate resilience.
Conclusion
The National Agentic AI Hackathon is more than a competition—it’s a movement to elevate Pakistan’s role in the global AI ecosystem. With thousands of participants, multi-city rounds, and millions in rewards, it offers young innovators a platform to transform their ideas into impactful solutions.
