Google Meet has a new AI-powered beauty filter that you may apply if you don’t want to wear actual makeup. This upgrade makes Google Meet more competitive with apps like Microsoft Teams and Zoom, which already include virtual makeup effects.
The feature has 12 distinct ways to do makeup. You may find them in the “Appearance” menu under “Portrait touch-up.” There are existing tools in this region for smoothing skin, making the area around the eyes lighter, and making the eyes whiter. These were first added in 2023.
The AI makeup filter seems real because it moves with your face in a natural way. Even if you drink coffee, the makeup won’t shift or glitch.
The feature is off by default. You can switch it on before or during a meeting, and Google Meet will remember what you choose for future meetings.
On October 8, both mobile and web users may use the new AI cosmetics feature.
