Faisalabad ATM Scam Gang Loots Citizens Across the City

The Faisalabad ATM scam gang is actively targeting citizens across the city, stealing cash, mobile phones, and ATM cards in a series of incidents. Police confirmed that the most serious case happened outside an HBL branch on Millat Road, under the Sargodha Road police jurisdiction.

In one case, three men posed as bank staff and approached Humaira Zia, a NADRA data entry operator, while she was using the ATM. They convinced her to hand over her card and PIN. As a result, the suspects swapped her card and later withdrew Rs. 151,805 from her account.

Authorities explained that the gang used similar tricks in several other areas of Faisalabad:

In 197-RB Gatwala (Madina Town), swindlers robbed Mansoor of cash and his phone.
At Lathani Pull, Nasir Ahmed was deceived and lost money and his phone.
On Circular Road in Samundri, Siddique Ahmed also fell victim.
Near Kashmir Pull (Madina Town), suspects stole Imran’s ATM card, Rs. 12,000 in cash, and his phone.
In Gurunanakpura (Gulberg police limits), Dilshad Ahmed was tricked in a similar way.
In 409-GB Tandlianwala, the fraudsters targeted Ali Husnain.

Police Action

Police registered several cases under Section 420 of the Pakistan Penal Code. Moreover, a search operation is already in progress to trace and arrest the suspects. Officials urged citizens to remain vigilant, especially while using ATMs.
